Nonsurgical Treatments Geelong

At RiverEnd Aesthetics, we offer a wide range of non-surgical treatments to address a variety of cosmetic concerns. Non-surgical procedures are performed by our experienced doctors, and we only use products with the highest safety profiles. We believe “less is more” when it comes to nonsurgical cosmetic treatments and we pride ourselves on subtle, natural-looking results.

You might have noticed we are no longer advertising most of our nonsurgical services. At RiverEnd Aesthetics we pride ourselves on professionalism and ethical practices. As such, we have embraced changes to the advertising and clinical practice guidelines for health practitioners in the cosmetic industry in Australia in 2023-2024.

Frequently Asked Questions

TGA Advertising Guidelines explained

In March 2024 the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) changed the guidelines for advertising in the cosmetic industry, in order to better protect consumers against potentially unethical practices.

In Australia, it is illegal to refer to prescription medications in advertising; this includes injectables such as botulinum toxin (eg. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) and dermal fillers, which are all largely classified as Schedule 4 drugs. Prior to March 2024, cosmetic injectors were able to refer to these substances as “anti-wrinkle injections”, “cosmetic injectables”, or “dermal fillers”, but these terms are no longer allowed.

Additionally, use of before-and-after photos on websites and social media need to be very vague, and images are not allowed if it is obvious the patient in the photos has had treatment with Schedule 4 drugs (botulinum toxins or fillers).

RiverEnd Aesthetics has re-branded. Why?

Our doctors are leaders in the cosmetic industry, and we are leading by example in working hard to comply with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) guidelines for nonsurgical cosmetic procedures, and the TGA advertising regulations.

In response to these changes, we have re-branded our clinic, with a new name, signage, website and social media accounts.

Although we can no longer advertise some of our services, our day-to-day practices remain unchanged. We are still dedicated to providing first-rate, advanced nonsurgical and regenerative aesthetic treatments.
