The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is the authority responsible for approving all drugs, prescription medications, and medicines used in Australia.
They also regulate what can be advertised. Unlike in other countries, advertising prescription medicines, including Botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), anti-wrinkle treatments, and dermal fillers, is prohibited in Australia. Recently, the TGA has gone further, banning the use of terms like “anti-wrinkle” and “dermal filler” in any marketing materials.
These changes significantly impact how we can advertise our services, leading us to rebrand. We’ve updated our website content, social media profiles, and marketing materials to comply with these new regulations. Despite these changes, nothing has fundamentally changed about our services. Hayley continues to operate the Cosmetic Refinement Clinic, while the medical cosmetic side, led by Kerry, Niamh, and myself, is now known as RiverEnd Aesthetics.
We are the same team offering the same exceptional services, now under a new name.
